So
yesterday was Administrative Professionals day. Normally this really would mean
nothing to me since in the past I have never received anything for being an
admin. No one has ever acknowledged this day.
But
yesterday I got more attention for it than if it had been my birthday (at work
I mean anyway)! It was like a work birthday! My boss gave me a card with a gift
certificate enclosed, as well as some of the other guys from a different
division (Drywall) gave me flowers and a balloon! How cute was that? And then I
got to have lunch in the city (Paragon) with some of the other admins who work
in SF.
Since
I am the only admin here at SCS I think I got a little more love which was
nice.
I
took Cal Train out which consequently by the time I was done, I didn’t go back
to work (which had been approved by my boss beforehand anyway) so it was like I
got half the day off. Seriously, pretty cool.
Anyway,
I was able to get a nice salad with a chicken breast on top (thanks to my detox
diet going on right now it’s not easy, if not impossible, to eat out. ). Tasty.
I
wish I didn’t feel like I was coming down with something. But it was a pretty
cool day for recognizing me as an admin! That seriously almost never happens! J
